Intended use
medi ROM Walker is a lower leg and foot orthosis for mobilization in adjustable ranges of motion.
Indications
All indications for which early functional mobilization is required with limitation of movement in the joints of the lower leg and foot, for example:
- After fibula fractures (post-operative and non-surgical)
- After fractures of the talocrural joint dislocation
- After injuries to the instep and metatarsal, as well as the tarsus (non-surgical)
- After surgically treated ligament, soft tissue and tendon injuries
- Follow-up treatment of talus fractures, calcaneal fractures and internal ankle fractures
- For early functional therapy in case of Achilles tendon rupture (non-surgical/post-operative)
Contraindications (absolute)
- Unstable fractures or fractures of the tibia or fibula
- Soft tissue defects and wound healing disorders
- Existing lymphatic drainage disorders
- Sensitivity and perfusion disorders in the legs or feet (e.g. in the case of diabetes)
