Intended use

medi Thumb support is an orthosis for immobilizing the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb.

Indications

All indications for which immobilization of the joint at the base of the thumb and the carpometacarpal joint is required, such as..:

Rhizarthrosis / “Arthrosis of the thumb” / “Arthrosis of the base of the 1st finger”
Ligament injuries (skier’s thumb)
Irritations of the carpometacarpal joint
De Quervain’s tenosynovitis

Contraindications

Unstable capsule/tape device requiring secure fixation with a plaster cast
